during my recent stay, I loved that we were just under 3 km from the stunning Fort San Felipe Bacalar and a short stroll to the vibrant Mercado Municipal de Bacalar, perfect for soaking in local culture and flavors.

Excellent stay with direct access to the lagoon and a peaceful atmosphere. The pool was a nice addition, even though most time was spent in the water. Breakfast was simple and satisfying, and there’s a small store across the road for necessities. Friendly staff were always available, which added to the positive experience.

The staff provided excellent assistance, helping us with taxi calls and food orders whenever we needed. The sunset views from the dock were breathtaking, creating unforgettable memories. The lagoon’s serene atmosphere was perfect for kayaking, allowing for peaceful exploration of the surroundings.

The breakfast offerings could be expanded to include more variety.

we had an amazing stay at vista laguna! the view of the lake from the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. we had direct access to the lake, and the location off the main highway made it super convenient for our family. the price was reasonable for what we got. definitely a great deal!

I spent 6 nights enjoying the stunning lagoon views and the peaceful mornings here. The breakfast was simple but filling, especially with the option for a la carte dishes. I loved renting a kayak to catch the sunset, truly a highlight!

I had a fab time! The kayak rental was a blast, and watching the sunset was pure magic. Plus, breakfast really hit the spot, and snagging snacks from across the street was super convenient.

But shhh. it’s so quiet after 10 PM, perfect for early birds but dreadful for night owls like me. Also, my room had a wall view. it wasn't exactly Instagrammable!

The croissants were buttery perfection, and the lagoon views made every breakfast feel like a scene from a movie! Plus, the friendly staff added a warm touch to our mornings.

Though we battled a sewer smell in the first room and had to wrangle for a new one, the slightly smelly upgrade and hot water made it bearable. Just watch out for the party crowd!

Room amenities fell short, with insufficient towels for a three-person reservation. Additionally, the location is a bit remote, necessitating planning for supplies or dining, especially for those without a car. Wi-Fi was slow, and the air conditioning setup blew directly onto the bed, making it uncomfortable at night.
